The Migration Research Network of Pakistan (MRNP)

The Migration Research Network of Pakistan (MRNP) is a dedicated network of academics working on migration to, from and within Pakistan. The network aims to foster connections and collaboration among migration scholars to produce and promote research and provide evidence-based policy input on internal and international migration to and from Pakistan.

MRNP provides opportunities for migration scholars working on Pakistan to learn about the current migration research landscape, engage in professional interactions, disseminate their research, and collaborate, with the aim of developing a better understanding of migration-related issues in Pakistan.

Migration Reseach Cell

The Migration Research Cell (MRC) was established in May 2024 at the Department of Political Science, University of Peshawar, to inform policymaking, support humanitarian interventions and develop stakeholders’ networks related to migration through rigorous research on global, regional, and national trends in migration and the impacts of migration on societies, economies, and politics.

CIMRAD Centre on International Migration, Remittances and Diaspora

The Centre on International Migration, Remittances and Diaspora (CIMRAD) was established in 2014 by the Lahore School of Economics and is the first institute of its kind in Pakistan. The Centre specializes in the study and analysis of international migration and its social and economic consequences – with a focus on the diaspora and the flow of remittances.
